Harvest Baptist School participates in the Georgia Association of Christian Schools annual Bible, Academic, and Fine Arts Competition. First-place state winners advance to the national level hosted by the American Association of Christian Schools.
Bible
The Bible competitions include Bible teaching, preaching, oral quizzing, and testing.
Academic
The academic competitions include testing in all areas of academia and oral performances such as impromptu storytelling, duet acting, debate, choral reading, persuasive speech, and humorous interpretation.
Fine Arts
The Fine Arts competitions include sculpting, crafts, painting, watercolor, and photography as well as group and individual musical performance, both instrumental and vocal.
Each year the students at HBS have numerous opportunities to be involved in Fine Arts activities. In the spring, the students participate in the GACS competition. The students begin preparing for this at the beginning of the school year. This event is held in March for the high school and in April for the elementary. Not only will the students compete, but many of the winners will perform at a concert at the school after the competition.
